Winter Break So Far

Winter break is going well. My family hasn't gone anywhere and doesn't plan to either, but that's mainly because my family has to work up into the week before New Year, but that week I'm in downtown Atlanta competing in a bridge tournament. I'm very nervous about this tournament. My partner is way better than me, so I would feel very bad if I disappointed her with my performance. This also feels like the redemption tournament for me, as I've played in the under-21 version of this twice but both times placed very poorly. The time we've spent practicing for this tournament also creates an expectation for me about how far we get.

My daily schedule for this break isn't exciting, lots of gaming, bridge practice, and daily walks with my family. Picked up Fallout Shelter again. Not the first time I've played it but the first time I've played it for more than three days in a row. There are a couple of games that I do play on a daily basis. Over the semester it was only Clash of Clans and Soccer Manager, which in all honestly required about ten minutes a day. Now over break, BTD6 became free on Epic so I'm back to grinding that daily in addition to the other two. Unfortunately, I was unable to sync my save from my old Android to my PC so all my data reset but that's fine.

One thing I really appreciate about 2022 is the change in my relationship with my brother. We began spending more time together despite the fact that I was on campus at college and he lived at home by playing games together on Discord, both during the school semesters and when I was interning in Seattle. We mainly played Don't Starve Together and It Takes Two, although recently started playing Geotastic. My girlfriend introduced us to Dominion so we've been playing that as well.
